As the first semester of 2025/26 came to a close, marking the end of a memorable journey for our exchange
students at Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU). Their whirlwind adventure at HKSYU has flown by, and now it’s all about soaking up these last moments together!
To cap off their stay, the Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) threw a farewell bash just for our exchange students! The venue was buzzing with excitement as everyone jumped into playful games, savoured delicious pizza, and chatted away like they were lifelong pals! Plus, the CGE whipped up adorable souvenirs for everyone— tiny tokens of HKSYU’s cosy vibe to remind them of all the fun times!
Throughout their time here, our exchange students immersed themselves in Hong Kong’s vibrant culture— from celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival to indulging in delightful dim sum during yum cha! They explored the islands such as Cheung Chau, strolled through historic streets, and visited iconic heritage spots. Reflecting on his time, Dutch student Luca shared, “My exchange experience at HKSYU is something I’ll carry with me forever!” Indonesian student Ardela added, “At first, I felt a bit nervous being so far from home, but meeting all these kind folks and the support from CGE made me feel right at home!
