The VR Lab Workshop at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, held on June 17,2024 was an engaging and immersive experience designed to introduce participants to the world of virtual reality (VR). The workshop consisted of two sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of VR development.
During the first session, participants learned about Blender, a powerful 3D modeling and animation software. They were guided through the process of creating 3D models and applying textures and materials to enhance realism. By the end of this session, participants had a solid foundation in 3D modeling and were able to create their own virtual objects.
The second session focused on Unity, a popular game development engine widely used in the VR industry. Participants learned how to use Unity to build interactive VR experiences, import 3D models from Blender, and implement user interactions, audio, and visual effects. By the end of this session, participants had the skills to develop their own VR applications using Unity.
Throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and practical exercises, encouraging them to experiment and explore their creativity. The workshop was facilitated by experienced instructors who provided guidance and support throughout the learning process.
By attending the VR Lab Workshop at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills in VR development. Whether participants were beginners or had some prior experience in VR development, this workshop offered a comprehensive and engaging learning experience that inspired and empowered them to explore the exciting world of virtual reality.
