Professor Selina Chan Ching, HKSYU Academic Vice President, and Professor Hui Yew-foong, Vice President (Accreditation and Programme Development), led a group of 15 representatives from various departments and Computing Services Centre to Huawei’s Shenzhen headquarters for an exchange visit on 17 December 2025. The visit focused on exploring the latest developments in smart campus technologies and artificial intelligence.

The group toured Innovation Laboratory, Von Neumann Exhibition Hall, and Davidson Exhibition Hall, and engaged in discussions with Huawei’s senior management on integrating AI and other technologies into HKSYU’s teaching and learning. The initiative aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talent across literature, business, and the social sciences, equipping students with essential AI competencies.
