FishGuard, the student entrepreneurship team from HKSYU, has been accepted into the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2025. The team includes four Year 3 FinTech students and one ADS student, mentored by Dr Philip LEE, Associate Head of Department of Economics and Finance and Director of the BCom (Hons) in Financial Technology programme.

After passing a rigorous vetting process, they joined 19 other university teams at an entrepreneurship boot camp this summer at Draper University in Silicon Valley, competing for a grant of HKD 100,000 for their entrepreneurship projects. This marks HKSYU’s first successful CUPP nomination, highlighting the strong entrepreneurial potential of its students. HKSYU will continue to support students in developing practical problem-solving skills and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit.
