On 2nd July, 2025, ELCHK Lutheran Academy invited Dr Bess LAM as a guest speaker for a highly anticipated event, LA’s Career Fest 2025.

Dr LAM, an expert in neurocriminology, social cognition, schizophrenia, and antisocial behaviour, serves as the Associate Head (Postgraduate Studies) and Associate Professor in the Department of Counselling and Psychology, and the Director of the Brain Stimulation Laboratory. Her groundbreaking research has greatly influenced the fields of psychological and neuroscience.

Her collaborations with esteemed institutions such as Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania further highlight the breadth and impact of her expertise.

At LA’s Career Fest 2025, Dr LAM delivered a talk on brain and forensic psychology and introduced the newly launched undergraduate programme “Forensic and Investigative Psychology”, attracting and inspiring about 200 secondary students and teachers. Students expressed their interest in careers in forensic psychology, neuroscience, and mental health.
