Hong Kong Shue Yan University is fully committed to supporting the aftermath of the recent major fire at Tai Po Wang Fuk Court. Temporary emergency accommodation has been arranged for students in need. Staff residing in Tai Po or affected by the incident may discuss flexible work arrangements with their department heads.
A one-stop service and consultation station has been set up at Mrs Dorothy Koo and Dr Ti Hua Koo Plaza to support staff and students affected by the fire, including providing referrals for psychological counselling.
Support Highlights:
• Assistance Channels: Students and staff residing in Wang Fuk Court who need support can contact the Office of Student Affairs or Human Resources Office. Appropriate assistance will be provided.
• Counselling Services: Staff and students experiencing emotional distress can seek support from counsellors at the Office of Student Affairs.
• Flexible Academic and Work Arrangements: Staff and students in Tai Po may adjust attendance or work arrangement today and tomorrow as needed. Students should contact their instructors, while staff should coordinate with their department heads.
