On 10 October 2025, Department of Counselling and Psychology faculty members at HKSYU were invited by Guangdong Medical Association to lead four workshops at the Guangdong Province Bipolar Disorder and Brain Science Forum.

Dr Adrian Tong presented on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, emphasising mindfulness and behavioural change. Dr Joe Ngai explored Animal Assisted Therapy, highlighting its benefits for mental health. Dr Raysen Cheung focused on Career Counselling, providing strategies for navigating career paths. Lastly, Dr Bess Lam discussed non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, showcasing their potential applications in treating affective disorders.

Collectively, these workshops offered attendees valuable knowledge and practical tools, enhancing understanding of psychological interventions and their impact on mental health treatment.
